Congratulations to our 2016 Indigenous Scholar!

Fifty Acres is a huge believer in providing students with the opportunity and tools to succeed in the communications industry. We love working with interns, and also offer a scholarship program to students studying media or communications.

We are pleased to announce the recipient of our 2016 Indigenous Scholarship, Gerry Surha. Gerry is studying a Bachelor of Digital Media (Music, Sound and Moving Image) at Central Queensland University. He is also a practising Aboriginal artist and singer/songwriter, and works with Save The Children, teaching cultural identification through traditional dance, song, art and music.

Fifty Acres scholarships are valued at $500, and are open to students enrolled in a certificate, diploma or degree relating to media or communications. For more information about Fifty Acres’ internships and scholarship programs, see
